Resurrection is partnering with Hallow to host a parish mission to help us kick off Advent. Hallow’s Sean Hussey will join us on Sunday, Dec. 6th for his talk, Emmanuel: God is With Us.

We will begin with a free lasagna dinner in the cafeteria at 4:30p. That will be followed by Sean’s talk, as well as guided prayer and table discussion at 6:00p, also in the cafeteria. We will then transition to the church for Eucharistic Adoration and Confession.

Sean’s talk is themed around Hallow’s Advent Pray25 challenge for this year, which our parish will be praying together.

Here is a description of this year’s challenge: The truth of Christmas isn’t the parties or the presents, the carols or cookies. It’s that God Himself has come to dwell among us, not just in the manger 2,000 years ago, but right here, right now. Scripture tells us: “Behold the virgin shall bear a son, and they shall call him Emmanuel, which means God is with us.” But how often are we too busy or distracted to notice God’s presence?

This Advent, join Hallow as we journey through one of the greatest Christmas films of all time: It’s a Wonderful Life. We’ll walk with the film’s main character, George Bailey, as he begins to open his eyes to the great beauty of his life.
